Interviews
A few interviews lined up during this Kickstarter period. The most significant one doesn’t have a confirmed date but could fall on Sunday 20th of September. That’s “Sunday Morning Live” on BBC TV for an in-studio interview. If it’s not that date it may show up in October.
I’ll be popping up on UCB2 at 9:30 am (UK) on Wednesday, 9th of September, for "This Is My Story."
I’ll be on with Care Balwin on CHRI Roadio in Canada on the 9th too.
Then at 10 am on Thursday the 10th on Premier Christian Radio.
Watch out for me on the FaithSide podcast with Sam Healey and hopefully Andrew Lowen in the coming weeks.
Roman Oppression Card Game
Work is continuing on the Roman Oppression Strategic Card Game. We recently rejigged how players receive action points, which sped up the game and made it more exciting and punchy.
Competitive games are slightly more challenging than solo/coop ones, as everything has to be more fair, and if people can win because of card draw alone, it's not a strategic game.
So the number crunching goes on behind the scenes, as does the playtesting. We hope to make the playtesting available through Tabletop Simulator soon, but we want to make sure we're at a point where it's mostly settled and not constantly changing before we let you at it.
Prayer Requests
🙏 Kickstarter and Promotion: I'm praying this Kickstarter will be bigger than ever. I've got an interview lined up with UCB Radio, Premier Christian Radio, and even Sunday morning live on BBC TV (God willing). I've paid for adverts in Christianity Today, The Christian Post, and several denominational newsletters. Please pray that these land well, get noticed, and motivate people to come and back the project as first-time backers. Please also pray that this becomes a catalyst for the project to be seen and reported on by newspapers/blogs, and to go big!
🙏 Gospel of John: Please pray that I make progress and produce good-quality work on the Gospel of John as I work to complete it this year, ready for release at Easter 2027.
🙏 Roman Oppression Development: Please pray for smooth sailing in the game development of this sequel. It's going smoothly so far, but you never know when you're going to hit a mechanical rock in the road. Please pray that this game is developed smoothly and will bless lots of people who eventually play it.
